Think maybe good idea to start having some fixed limit on how many object or file size room is allowed to have, perhaps taking look at or discussing sizes of current buildings if they exceed their needed sizes or work or not. I think it's been said by me before but think some places are far bigger than I think the usage warrant, this could be places to save options for discussed buildings like hospital or apartments for instance.
Saying this mostly because while I don't have too many problems with how it runs for me going in and out the room, some with less bigger PC or internet connections are going to get disconnection problems or lag issues, if size the room expand much beyond it's current size I think. Which is not going to help attracting people if the room doesn't run well or at least acceptible for visitors with different setups or internet connection speeds. It was huge part reason one hotels goal when renovating hotel for me was to bring down file size, it is where it is not but I can't argue against that it couldn't probably be trimmed down further if needed removing some things that mostly provide aesthestics now.
Some my examples would be restuarant which has I think at least room for 20 people of which I hardly ever see many more than 5 at tops at time over there now, you have huge police station where they're what 3 people working at the moment. The police storage could easily be smaller for area this size so could many other parts it while still filling it's purpose. Hotel kinda at fault for this myself I guess bar is never used much, not sure if anyone ever managed to do event with casino poker tables or if they're even used, Gym and spa is used only limited, kitchen is never really used at all. As for bar it kinda serve same purpose as the club if the casino aspect of it isn't being used, think gym could easily be connected with Jackii gym so there is one gym instead sorta two(I know Jackii's a little I guess martial art like, but you could still mix it up). Spa is nice but really feel if it came down to it spa or sauna would probably be enough for most guest coming.
Feel cloth store could also be made little smaller it would also help it look more active if it started getting someone working it there, because it's going to be a challenge much like Hotel to really make it feel as it's busy or active place. Think larger things get the more empty they start looking then community is not big enough to fill them up.
Anyways just some thoughts I have been having and wanted to bring up.

I might be wrong, but i think that the whole size only impact the time to load the map when you connect on it. When you zoom out a lot you can see some "clear" circle around your character. I think that it's the zone that is actually rendered and that's what really impact the fps. I hope so though  I want to test it and not simply consider it work that way without proof. I will try two things : testing the map that way, maybe looking at how CPU, memory and GPU are. Then i will merge the whole map with itself to double the object, then try again. Then last try, i will merge the whole map after having it grouped, and move the copied item far away from the already existing one. The two last attempts should have the same amount of objects (the double from the current number of objects), but if i'm right the second one should run way smoother than the first one (the same way that the actual one run). It could be also interesting to make a poll to see how well the place run for the regular players. For me it run really smoothly since i have put the 64 bits patch (well though there is some place on the room that create a bit of lag, especially when there is a lot of things to render). |

Hello all  , Since the new Hospital is implemented, i can't play anymore on High or medium without hard lags. (Lags are permanently and every 3-4 seconds comes a hard one through... and freezes the screen for a half second) I don't have the worst PC system, but that room meanwhile tries to fight with it So now i've my settings on low. |

Ok thanks for your report Lassali. Next update will reduce the number of items and the whole room size to try to improve performances. - I will edit the starting area and remove the subway thing. It consume a lot and isn't used. - Clean of the cemetery (all the RIP thing consume a lot and it's a place that isn't used a lot). - Restaurant resize, - Clothes shop resize, - Some others place might disappear or be reduced a lot for RP reasons (event to come) If i can put the whole room size under 3M and set this as the limit, it could be nice. The other way around would be to split the map in two (or more) different areas, but i don't have another computer to run that neither i want to buy another account Too bad it's impossible to run them on VPS or something like that since the game need a GPU, only to launch the room hosting... |

The phones at reception could be made into smart phones that give another 16objects, as for windows they could maybe be made smaller but most them are big object and not several small ones. Think some doors to bathrooms could be removed too since they don't really need to be there with the toilet booths and showers have them too, that be 2-3 extra objects so about 18-19 saved in that department. But If I were to suggest something to hit bigger then maybe removing kitchen, bar/casino and just keep hotel and rooms and beach plus spa, sauna stuff. Maybe moving stage somewhere else where it's both easier to find and can be use for events for Franklinn for instance. Hotel is really big for it's purpose if it comes to trim things down. Feel kitchen is almost never used we tried hiring for it but not really job anyone wants for look working as cook there waiting for people to show, we have trouble getting fixed bartender too since Mike long while back stopped bartending but also bar sorta fill same purpose as the club bar. So think if there need to be a bigger trim those area that could be removed if needed I think. |

I don't run it or anything, but I do think it's useful to have a kinda non-specific "store" for roleplay (I think technically it's a clothing store if you look at the back changing rooms. I suppose it could be removed. Although if that were the case it might be a cool idea to make a "mall" or shop type map that is official for the RP, then when someone wants to go shopping with people they could host it as their room (though I don't think we need to give Suzie any more work at the moment hehe). Considering we have a restaurant, bar, gun store, casino, theater, gym, and magic shop. I do think having a location that can be like: "The general store" is really nice though. |

I considered the possibility to split the map in half to make it lighter. Well if someone is volunteer to pay for an account just for that and keep a computer running 24/24 7/7 i'm totally fine with it Unfortunately there is no other way to do that today. |

Not necessary to do that. I have an idea: - Important buildings goes to the city room - Less important user made buildings goes inside another player's room Imagine that I want to create a disco, supermarket, restaurant... I can make my own restaurant or a builder can make it for me and I will open it in my room when the restaurant will be opened. Like this we fix the size of the map and we allow players to have public roleplays and private ones (Sometimes could be annoying to have sex and random people going inside). The important thing is to put in the title of the opened room: "Rp Hotel/The city Disco" like this we know what place is it When the disco closes, the room is closed so it would be realistic as well |

The idea isn't bad at all.
There could be a few "placeholder" building with a door that only connect to a specific player room.
The pro is that it make the "starting" room lighter, and it give a lot more possibilities to extend the map and would let part of the map be more detailed.
The cons is that the "starting" map might be empty most of the time and players here will end up being bored or alone most of the time.
It's not a good idea to have the whole map like this, but for a few part of it could be nice.
